Terms of Service

These terms apply whenever you order 3D printing or CAD design work, or book a consultation, through this website. Kea Modelling (NZBN 9429053530790) is a sole trader based in Mt Eden, Auckland, New Zealand, and is in trade — this means the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to purchases you make from us as a consumer, and nothing in these terms is intended to take away rights those Acts give you.

Orders and quotes

The instant quote you see after uploading a file is calculated automatically from that file (material, weight, and estimated print time) and is the price you pay — it's locked in once you complete checkout. We reserve the right to get in touch if a file can't be printed as uploaded (for example, if it isn't manifold or is too large for our printers) before doing any work.

Payment

Payment is taken by card through Stripe at checkout. We don't store your card details. See our Privacy Policy for how payment information is handled.

Your files and designs

You keep ownership of any 3D model file you upload and of the finished design. For CAD design work, once a project is complete and paid for, the resulting design files are yours to keep and use. We don't claim any rights over a design created for you, and we won't reuse it for another customer without your permission.

You're responsible for making sure you have the right to have a file printed — for example, that it doesn't infringe someone else's copyright or trademark.

Delivery and returns

Delivery methods, timeframes, and what happens if a print arrives faulty or doesn't match your order are covered in our Returns & Shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.

Liability

We aim for every print and design to meet the standard you'd reasonably expect. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that can't lawfully be excluded. Outside of those non-excludable rights, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
