  • Armour plates and gauntlets
  • Replica prop weapons and gadgets
  • Badges, emblems and jewellery
  • Flexible straps and trims in TPU
  • Display stands and bases

Which material is best for 3D printed cosplay and props?

PLA for most props: it's light, stiff and the easiest to sand and paint. PETG for parts that get knocked about or left in a hot car. TPU for flexible parts that touch skin or need to bend.

Compare PLA, PETG and TPU properties side by side, including heat, UV and flexibility.

How do I get cosplay and props made if I don't have a 3D file?

Many cosplay models are sold or shared on Cults3D, Printables and MakerWorld. If you need a piece resized to your measurements or a custom design, we can model it in CAD.

What makes 3D printed cosplay and props print well?

Plan the split before printing: anything bigger than 330 × 320 × 325 mm is printed in parts and joined.

  • Scale helmets to your head measurement before ordering.
  • Split along natural seams so joins are easy to hide.
  • Add alignment pins or keys to the cut faces.
  • Allow time for sanding and filling layer lines.

How much do 3D printed cosplay and props cost in NZ?

Small details and badges are often a flat $5. Helmets and armour use more material and print time, so expect $40–$150+ depending on size. Upload each section's STL for an exact price.

What else do people ask about cosplay and props?

Here are the questions we hear most about 3D printed cosplay and props. Anything else, just ask.

Can you print a full-size helmet?

Yes. Helmets are usually split into a few sections that fit the 330 × 320 × 325 mm print bed, then glued and finished.
